The Stein Glass dome project with an oval cross section with a diameter of 6 and 4 meters has been carried out in a residential building located in Valiasr Square.
This building belongs to the Ghavami family and is a triplex apartment with this dome on the roof of the Wade Staircase.
Due to the fact that the apartment was being renovated and there was a polycarbonate dome with an improper shape on it from the past and a large chandelier was permanently connected to it without the possibility of moving, the implementation of the project faced many challenges. .
The oval structure is one of the sections in which the dome should be considered in many points, including the non-uniformity of the wide shape in each of the lattice, which caused each lattice to be designed and executed separately.
Due to the interior design of the space, the dome design has gone towards classic and neoclassical.
The lower designs of the dome, which create a continuous and consecutive movement on the surface of the dome, and the arched forms above the dome, which have a repetitive rhythm.
The oval at the top of the dome is also very busy and eye-catching.
Felt sheet is used to seal the dome, which also shows its exterior well.
During the day, this huge dome with its natural light on its surface is pleasing to the eye in the interior, and at night, with the lighting done from the inside, it makes the roof space look beautiful.
